Making Custom Desks (part 3 of 3) - Worktop, finishing, castors & keyboard shelf

Welcome to part 3 of the desk builds.  In the last video I made the drawer and drawer housing for the desk.
And in this one I'll be working on the desk top, the castors, adding a keyboard shelf and getting some glass for the desktop to protect the wood.
First I used my trim router to add a roundover to the top edges of the worktop
I then brought the worktop in to the workshop so that I could sand everything smooth and remove any burn marks left by the router.
I used my block plane just to ease over the bottom edges of the worktop
Then

Making Custom Desks (part 2 of 3) - drawers and drawer housing

Welcome to part 2 of the desk build.

Making Custom Desks (part 1 of 3)

Peter Millard Clamping Square video: https://youtu.be/kf-jOFrWTXo
In this video I'm going to start working on a commission - this one came about thanks to my uncle who put my name forward to someone who wanted two custom desks built, one for each of his sons.
I got in touch and we discussed his requirements so I could start designing the desks - he wanted the desks
to have some shelves and a single drawer for storage
something dismantleable so that it can be easily transported
mounted on wheels so it can be moved around easily

Making A Side Table With A Drawer / Bedside Table

In this video I make a retro / vintage style side table with a drawer... Or it could be a bedside table... I haven't really decided..  Made using reclaimed materials / street finds.  This is a rare painted project (because the wood I used had some stains) and I show you how I achieved a really nice and smooth painted finish.

Re-finishing A Mid Century Dining Table - Restoration

Recently I saw a dining table for sale on facebook ads, it was listed for just £10 and I like this style of furniture, so thought it'd make a good restoration project so I picked it up.
It's a small table to seat around 4 or maybe 6 at a squeeze, and it's a folding table so you can fold it up and put it to one side and it takes up very little space as you can see.
It had a few problems with the finish, some deep scratches, chipped veneer, the finish was dry and flakey an there were a few moisture stains.  The top appearst to be a teak veneer laminated to MDF.

Making A Mid Century Modern Vinyl Storage Unit (part 2 of 2)

In part 1 I did all the cutting and assembly for the main carcass of the unit and in this video I need to build the leg assembly, add the back panel, apply finish and then deliver the unit at my brother's house
First I found some wood that looked to be a good match for the veneer on the chipboard panels that I could use to trim the chipboard edges.  I used my thickness planer to plane it down to 15mm in thickness which is the same thickness as the panels.  Then I set up a sacrificial fence at the front of the tablesaw using a scrap of pine and some hot glue.

Making A Mid Century Modern Vinyl Storage Unit (part 1 of 2)

In this video I'm going to be making a record unit for my brother.  He recently bought some nice mid century style furniture and he's been looking for something in that style to hold his records but hasn't been able to find anything suitable, so he asked me to make something. The unit would need to be 1m wide, have two shelves to store records with dividers inbetween, and sit around 15cm off the floor so that it sits above power sockets on the wall where it's going to be placed. So I did a drawing in SketchUp and this is what we came up with.

Beech Waney Edge Slab Coffee Table Frame (part 2 of 2)

In this video I make a frame for the beech slab table using some sapele.
