I Made Some Large Gates For A Driveway

In this video I work on a commission to build some large garden gates for a driveway using pressure treated / tanalised timber from a local timber merchant, plus some untreated shiplap from a sawmill.  The gates span over 4m in width and are around 1.7m high.  I used half lap joinery at the corners of the frames, and floating tenons / dominos elsewhere.

Milwaukee Tool Review M18 Table Saw/Mitre Saw/Circular Saw/Jigsaw/Drill/Impact Driver/Sander #gifted

In this week's video I am reviewing some of my Milwaukee M18 tools.  I may do a follow up on the M12 tools and some of the other hand tools and accessories if people are interested - please let me know in the comments.  The tools I am focussing on are those used for joinery/carpentry, as that is what I do for a living.

Making A Cake Stand For Our Wedding

Restoring A Mid Century Modern Credenza / Sideboard

In this video I do some restoration work to a vintage teak mid century modern sideboard / credenza.  I believe it's by either Nathan or Beautility.  This piece of furniture has been in my family for decades.  I needed to refinish the veneer and solid wood areas.  The original ring handles in my opinion made it look quite dated, so I made some new hardwood handles for it which are interchangeable with the old ones to give it an updated look to better fit in a modern/contemporary home setting.

Making An MDF Gate... Yes, really!! #ad

PLEASE NOTE: It has been brought to my attention that there were a couple of mistakes made in this video due to the technical nature of the MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME panel. 1. You must use stainless screws when in direct contact with MTX because the low levels of acetic acid in the panel will corrode metal over time.  I have since replaced the screws (see follow up video: LINK TBC)  Full usage guidelines here: https://files.mutualcdn.com/medite-smartply/files/MEDITE-TRICOYA-EXTREME-MTX-Storage-Handling-and-User-Instructions-20REV16.pdf' 2.

Making A Desk For My Fiancé #AD

In this video I'm working on a DIY custom desk project for my fiancé Ria, which will act as both a "work" desk and a dressing table all in one. Since recently becoming a permanent homeworker, Ria needed a nice desk to work from. She had quite a specific idea about what she wanted, and how it would look - and wanted to incorporate some solid wood to make it less "officey" and give it more of a homely "furniture" feel, so I used some solid beech for the frame and drawer fronts, and made the rest from Medite SMARTPLY's moisture resistant MDF. There were a few challenges along the way!
