He Thought it was Rubbish. I Saw £500 of White Oak

I went to rescue a stack of "warped" solid wood worktops and ended up finding £500 worth of prime white oak. In this video, I’m taking these reclaimed hardwood planks and repurposing them into two high-end furniture pieces for the house. First, a unique, multi-tiered floor lamp with storage shelves built from solid beech—utilising some creative bandsaw techniques to cut perfect circles at a 7.5° angle.

Then, I tackle that massive slab of white oak to build a new coffee table. To get the strength and aesthetic I want, I’m using one of my favorite joints: the Bridle Joint. I’ll show you the specific jig and spacer-block system I use to get these fitting perfectly every time.
